Elon Musk’s company X (Twitter) launched video and voice call features last night. These features have been in the works for a long time, and they are currently available to X Premium subscribers only.
To disable video and voice calls on X, follow these steps:
- Open the X app.
- Tap on your profile picture in the top left corner.
- Tap on “Settings and privacy”.
- Tap on “Privacy and safety”.
- Tap on “Direct messages”.
- Toggle the switch next to “Enable voice and video calls” to the off position.
This will prevent other users from calling you on X.

The video and voice call features are built-in to X, so you don’t need to download a separate app. They work on iOS, Android, Mac, and PC.
Musk has also said that he plans to add payment features to X. He wants to make it possible for users to send money to each other, and he believes that X’s payment system could be better than PayPal.
It’s unclear when these payment features will be available, but they could be a major addition to X.
